This luxurious chinoiserie footstool is one of a kind, designed and upholstered as functional art. The embellishments, including the piping, skirt, Chinese crane tapestry top, and vintage red floral buttons (circa 1940), have been meticulously chosen, assembled and hand stitched to the piece - which features embroidered upholstery fabric with a red cherry blossom motif. Great attention has been paid to detail, even on the underside, which is also fully upholstered. The legs have been painted cherry red to match the fabric, and the feet are capped with gliders.
